A crispy October morning

The sky is a brilliant blue and the frost on the ground is trying to melt. I don't see much promise today, however. Up here in the Crown of the Kingdom, we are far past peak foliage and awaiting our first snowfall. The gardens are tilled under, perennials are cut back, wood piles are huge, and smoke from chimneys is a common sight.
I am sitting in my school library, all warm and cozy, trying to navigate myself around these sites. It is a challenge!

Enjoy these last autumn days!
